James Hogan Dies
Sad to see him go... James Hogan was a great Science Fiction writer (regardless of what crazy things he beleived in). If you haven't had a chance to read his book "Inherit the Stars", definitely check him out. Its a murder mystery on the Moon. A 50,000 year old dead astronaut is found on the moon... A real page turner!

With the constant progress of technology, today's children will grow up not knowing certain realities of life that were commonplace just barely 10 years ago, such as sending film away to be processed and having physical prints of photographs come back to you. Watchman Short
While it’s entirely possible that fans may never see Watchmen on the originally planned date of March 6th, 2009, we can all at least bask in glory of this 4 minute short presented by director Zack Snyder and cry a little knowing the film’s day on the silver screen won’t come soon enough. Hit the jump to watch the featurette and keep checking back for more updates on the official film release!
Watchmen Exclusive
Here's a "behind the scenes" featurette. I didn't know Jackie Earl Haley was playing Rorschach. For those that don't remember him he played Kelly in the original Bad News Bears. Nice to see him coming back strong.

Tron Sequel
Reports are that the Tron sequel will be shot entirely in 3-D. What’s even more interesting is that with the latest technology the filmmakers will be able wear the glasses at the monitors as they shoot, allowing them to instantly see the results. We’re also specifically told to expect a 3-D first person view from inside a light cycle, which should be pretty spectacular.

50s Pinup Model Bettie Page Dead at 85
It is indeed a sad day... Legendary pinup queen Bettie Page died of pneumonia at the age of 85 in a Los Angeles, California, hospital Thursday, a week after suffering a heart attack, according to her agent. "She captured the imagination of a generation of men and women with her free spirit and unabashed sensuality," said agent Mark Roesler in a written statement. "She is the embodiment of beauty." Page, said to be one of the most photographed people of the past century, became a recluse in recent decades. Yet, her images continued to be used around the world to market Bettie Page action figures, clothing lines and other merchandise. The Web site, BettiePage.com, logs about 20 million hits a month, Roesler said. A TVGuide.com poll recently placed Bettie Page as the "ultimate sex goddess," outscoring others such as Marilyn Monroe.

The Ten Oldest Bars in the US
I am proud to say that I got plastered (many times over when I worked for the US Treasury Dept) at the Old Ebbit Grill, number 4 on the list of the Ten Oldest Bars in the US.
